Security , Licensing and Network Audit

A security, licensing and network audit proactively looks at your current setup and documents it for future reference.

You can then decide if changes are required in order to give you a higher level of security (from both internal as well as external threats), while still allowing users to work productively.

  • Password (e.g. strength, length, expiry)

  • Security patches

  • Anti-Virus strategy

  • Network accounts (e.g. policies, segregation of duties, administrative rights)

  • Firewall encryption

  • Network bandwidth analysis

Licensing is often overlooked, especially by small companies. However, the penalties can be large if you are caught with unlicensed operating systems or applications: the managing director can be held personally responsible, and prosecuted.

An independent audit measures that you know what you have got, and can decide on the appropriate licensing measures.

  • Operating systems and applications in use

  • Licence numbers

  • Documentation of licences
